Cultivating a robust cybersecurity workforce requires a multifaceted approach with a diverse set of skills. Organizations can invest in hiring candidates from various verticals and markets to enhance their security programs.  Additionally, bringing in fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration can bridge skills gaps and ensure a resilient cybersecurity team.

Bio
Mel is a Global CIO, CISO, and Executive Coach.  He builds the teams that make or save companies money and has successfully navigated the IT and Security drama for nearly 30 years.  From application development to eCommerce, backend data integration, and global compliance.  All wrapped with a security, infrastructure, and fraud management mindset.  He’s a mentor and coach who attracts, retains, and develops high-performing talent.

As an Enterprise Security and Information Technology leader, Mel has navigated through four startups, two IPOs, three M&As, and two divestitures across three Financial Services institutions, three Media Agencies, a 5-year CPG contract with Pepsi, and the manufacturing sector.  

He has a successful track record of structuring and leading cross-matrixed teams to deliver value, implementing business-approved processes to secure the crown jewels, and proven financial acumen in delivering quantifiable results through precise budgeting.

He also has extensive experience successfully attracting, retaining, and developing high-performing talent.
