"How the Jobs To Be Done Framework not only can make BAs more effective, it can transform them into coaches as well."

Jobs to Be Done (JTBD) is a framework for understanding stakeholders needs and motivations by first focusing on the job they are trying to do. It then looks at the sequence of steps that define a stakeholder’s progress to meeting their objectives. It shifts the focus from product features to the underlying problem or goal that drives customer decisions. Done well, a JTBD approach can save a lot of wasted effort while creating greater innovation. The JTBD framework provides a shift in perspective that is useful for virtually all roles in the value stream. It enhances a business analyst getting their job done as well as enabling them to shift other roles’ perspective that enables them to be more effective. This seminar will discuss eight such shifts and how the jobs to be done framework, creates alignment while lowering the generation of waste.
