Enterprise Business agility refers to approaches organizations and individuals use to rapidly adapt to market and environmental changes in productive and cost-effective ways. Today’s businesses require an Agile mindset and a new set of skills for guiding teams. Every level and every role in today's organization must focus on customer delight and bringing innovation and continuous improvement into our work. In this new world  software and hardware products need to perform seamlessly across a plethora of devices, operating systems, browsers, hardware configurations, and networks. This is where the agile model of product testing comes into play. Embracing agile values and practices is tempting for businesses but difficult to transition to agile is likely to come with a slew of challenges for testing in particular. It requires an enterprise agile transformation strategy that includes value added test infrastructures  that drive rapid delivery of customer value. Taking the agile approach requires a shift in mindset, culture, practices and organization systems. In order for agile to enable delivery of quality products at speed, testing strategies  earlier in the process than ever before.
This presentation will explore the mindset, approaches, and skills required by an enterprise agile transformation that is demanded in today's dynamic and fast-moving world – a world where change is constant, disruption expected, and teamwork is a competitive advantage. We will discuss ways to integrate Agile business techniques to create a success agile testing ecosystems that rapidly delivers  valuable products that lead to customer excitement.

Finally, this presentation will discuss how the Business Analyst role aligns with enterprise business agility and the skills and certifications recommended to thrive in this new exciting environment.

Bio
Nate is an accomplished, results-oriented senior agile transformation leader and coach with comprehensive experience and proven expertise in on-time delivery of technology-based solutions for domestic and international projects. Nate has demonstrated success in leveraging technology to enhance business operations and to impact the bottom-line.  Nate is also a respected leader at empowering cross-functional teams to drive organizational success that surpasses corporate goals.
 

As a technology instructor, he instructs and coaches students in business and technology concepts for the Caltech Center for Technology and Management and the University of California extension management programs. He teaches on-site and virtual courses for corporate clients worldwide like Alcatel-Lucent, AT&T, Chevron, Boeing, DirecTV, EMC, Southern California Edison, Mars, Northrop Grumman, St. Joseph Hospital, and Toyota.

 

Nate is an Enterprise Business Agility Strategist and a certified transformation and leadership coach with expertise in Team Performance coaching, Executive coaching, Organizational Development coaching, Life & Spirit coaching, and Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP). He holds a bachelor’s degree in Math/Computer Science, a master’s degree in Business Administration, an Executive Masters in Technology Management from the Wharton School of Business, and is a PhD candidate in Management Information Systems Management.
