"Agile Teams: Achieving Aligned Autonomy with Inceptions", by Lakshmi Ramaseshan and Hadar Ziv
Pacific Standard Time, UTC -8 hours
What is the value of Collaboration as part of Organizational Agility? Are your Agile teams aligned with the overall purpose & outcome of an initiative they are working on? How might we change that & increase the chance of their success?
This talk starts with a brief history of Agile that (re)visits Lean, SCRUM, and the Rational Unified Process (!), with an eye toward Business Analysis, Requirements Engineering, and Lean Inception.
The talk then focuses on the value of Disciplined Collaboration during an Inception, when the whole team & other dependent team(s) come together for a day or two to align on The Strategy (Why), The Work (What) and The Team (How).
Creating a “Shared Understanding” and “Achieving Aligned Autonomy” are the Goals of an Inception and, when done well, it can be very energizing for teams and set them up for project success
Inceptions create the platform for true Collaboration & sets Teams up for success
